Northern Colorado, home to the Friendship Force of Northern Colorado (FFNColo), is located toward the northern end of the Colorado "Front Range". Although we are on the high plains, we are only a few miles distant from the foothills to the Rockies.
Our view to the west features one of Colorado's 54 "fourteeners" - peaks in excess of 14,000 ft. above sea level. Long's Peak, at 14,109', is pictured above as viewed from Rocky Mountain National Park.
FFNColo serves the communities of Estes Park, Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland, Windsor and surrounding areas.
Midway between the capitals of Colorado (Denver) and Wyoming (Cheyenne), FFNColo is served by Denver International Airport, a drive of about an hour by bus shuttles or by members in personal autos.
There are numerous attractions within our "Quad Cities" territory. We often include additional Exchange program options in Boulder, Estes Park, Denver and Cheyenne.
An active group, FFNColo members can arrange for hikes, golf, bike rides, nature walks, bird watching and other outdoor physical pursuits.
It is our desire to introduce our friendly people, natural beauty and cultural attractions to visiting Ambassadors and to those who might consider us as an Journey destination. A full, but not overwhelming, schedule is planned for each Exchange.
As in many places, Northern Colorado offers more items of interest than can be accomodated within a week's time.
Therefore, we encourage the active involvement of the Ambassadors' Journey Coordinator with us in the selection of the attractions and sites for a planned Journey.
